Barista

Lura Sun Club is a rooftop bar, restaurant and terrace in the heart of Antigua Guatemala. We are hiring a Barista for our coffee service. Full time, flexible schedule covering day, evening and weekend shifts. This role works directly with international guests, so fluent English is required alongside Spanish.

Lura Sun Club es un bar, restaurante y terraza en azotea en el corazón de La Antigua Guatemala. Estamos contratando un Barista para nuestro servicio de café. Tiempo completo, horario flexible que cubre turnos de día, noche y fin de semana. Este puesto atiende directamente a huéspedes internacionales, por lo que se requiere inglés fluido además del español.

BARISTA (English)
Prepare espresso drinks, filter coffee and cold beverages to house standard.
Operate, calibrate and clean the espresso machine and grinder.
Keep the coffee station stocked, clean and organized.
Take orders and serve guests at the coffee bar in Spanish and English.
Follow recipes, portion standards and presentation standards.
Handle the POS and close out the station at the end of shift.

BARISTA (Español)
Preparar bebidas de espresso, café de filtro y bebidas frías según el estándar de la casa.
Operar, calibrar y limpiar la máquina de espresso y el molino.
Mantener la estación de café abastecida, limpia y ordenada.
Tomar órdenes y atender a los huéspedes en la barra de café en español e inglés.
Seguir recetas, porciones y estándares de presentación.
Manejar el punto de venta y cerrar la estación al final del turno.

REQUIREMENTS (English)
Spanish required.
Fluent English required. This position serves international guests directly.
Reliable and punctual.
Able to work standing through long shifts, weekends and holidays.
Clean, organized and attentive to detail.
Legal documents to work in Guatemala.
Previous coffee or barista experience is a plus but not required. We train.

REQUISITOS (Español)
Español indispensable.
Inglés fluido indispensable. Este puesto atiende directamente a huéspedes internacionales.
Responsable y puntual.
Capacidad para trabajar de pie durante turnos largos, fines de semana y días festivos.
Limpieza, orden y atención al detalle.
Documentos legales para trabajar en Guatemala.
Experiencia previa en café o como barista es una ventaja, pero no es requisito. Nosotros capacitamos.
