We’re so glad we chose Rosanta for dinner our first night in Antigua.
Service & Atmosphere:
Efran, our server, was so kind and provided great service. Attentive, but never too much. The space is beautiful, and an indoor/outdoor setting makes it feel both casual but also romantic. This would suit many occasions.
Food:
1. We took a chance on the cauliflower starter — the grilled flavor and sauce were incredible. I was surprised by how much I wanted a second plate of cauliflower!
2. For entrees, I had the coffee ribs. These were melt in your mouth & boneless, with a really good texture potato puree. The coffee sauce is made with, of course, Guatemalan coffee and brought the dish together wonderfully. It’s on the sweeter side, which was perfect for me but worth noting if that’s not what you’re looking for.
3. My partner had the tenderloin (medium rare) with potatoes au gratin. 10/10. The tender meat, the sauce, and the potatoes were all perfectly done.
Drinks:
1. Red pepper old fashioned — well balanced, complex, and beautifully presented in a smoked box.
2. La Chef — nice texture, really refreshing. Could drink 5
3. Ginger beer — similarly refreshing. A nice sipper to accompany the meal.
