Great place to stay! Rooms are nice, beds are comfortable, and the rooftop space is great. Staff was friendly and Kelyn was very helpful in recommending restaurants for us to enjoy!

LOVE! Right in the heart of Antigua and absolutely stunning. We didn’t stay at Mestizo Hotel (this time), but it’s 100% on our list for a future visit.

We walked in and were immediately welcomed by an attentive, genuinely warm team—no awkward standing around, just good energy from the start. We were looking for a spot to settle in for a few hours with drinks and lunch, and were recommended to head the rooftop for the views. Best decision.

The entire space is stunning. Historic bones with a modern, edgy twist—honestly, you could sit anywhere and have a great experience. But the rooftop? Next level. Volcano views, great weather, and a relaxed vibe that makes you want to stay longer and enjoy. Service was prompt and polished, and we lingered upstairs for a couple of drinks, soaking in the views, music, and atmosphere.

Now let’s talk about the real star: lunch. We chose the Linaje Tasting Menu and cannot recommend it enough. Seven beautifully curated courses, each rooted in traditional flavors but reimagined in a modern, creative way. What really elevates the experience is the dining room ambiance and the chef personally walking you through each dish—it feels thoughtful, intentional, and special without being stuffy.

If you’re looking for a place that captures the culture, flavors, and good vibes Antigua is known for, Mestizo delivers on all fronts. Their service, attention to detail and personal touches like having the owners stop by and talk to us, is first-rate! Don’t hesitate—book it. We’re already planning our return.

Amazing service from start to finish. The staff made me feel truly special and cared for—especially Kelyn, who went above and beyond to make my stay wonderful by helping with reservations and answering every question along the way. I booked the massage and dinner package, and both were exceptional—the massage was incredibly relaxing and the five-course meal was delicious. The rooms were cozy and extremely comfortable, and the hotel itself is stylish, well maintained, and inviting. The location is also ideal, close to great restaurants, shops, and everything you could need. I highly recommend this hotel and would absolutely stay here again. Amazing stay!!

This was a wonderful hotel - great location, quiet yet walkable, with a fun rooftop terrace. The breakfast was delicious as was the welcome drink. Kelyn helped me a ton, booking my transportation to and from the airport and answering all my questions, she was super sweet and patient with me :) highly recommend - would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely top tier service. I stayed two weeks and all of the staff were incredibly friendly, and took the time to get to know me and what I needed and wanted from my stay. Then when I left important items behind, they went above and beyond to make sure I got them back quickly before I flew out. Could not be happier with my experience at Mestizo. Thank you all so much for a great stay.
