Tzunun Hostel

Decent hostel, but the staff blasted music until 3am throwing a party so I left for another hostel. The rooms were cheap and decent enough. The breakfast was good and cheap. Front desk staff tends to be a bit clueless.

Such an amazing hostel! It’s so cozy, clean, good vibes, great location and really nice breakfast included! 😍 The staff is great and I just kept on extending. Would definitely come back!

usually rate hostels based on three things: location, customer service, and value for money.

The location of Tzunun Hostel is very good, and the owner was friendly and genuinely tried to help whenever possible. However, the hostel could benefit from more experienced management and better organization.

One of my biggest issues was the breakfast. I booked a room that included breakfast, but when I arrived in the morning there was a notice saying breakfast was not included and that guests had to pay for it. Even after showing my booking confirmation, it was still confusing. This was frustrating because I had planned an early morning hike and didn’t want to wait around. If breakfast is important to you, I would double-check before booking.

The room itself was okay for the price, but it was quite hot. There was no fan, so we had to keep the window or door open. I also hoped to watch the World Cup, but there was no TV, and the bar was closed during my stay.

I booked a 4-bed dorm, but upon arrival I was told there were no available beds and was placed in a 6-bed dorm instead. Fortunately, there were only two other guests in the room, but it was still not what I had reserved. The private bathroom was a plus.

Overall, I think the hostel is acceptable if you get it at the right price—I wouldn’t pay more than $10 per night. I stayed one night and then moved to a different hostel for the next four days. The location and owner are good, but the hostel is missing some important details that would improve the guest experience.

I felt that the number of toilets and showers might become insufficient if the number of guests increases. The rooms themselves are decent and the Wi-Fi works well, but I think people with small locks would find it difficult to use the personal safe. Breakfast consists only of fruit and soup, (without bread or coffee etc) and you have to pay an extra fee if you want anything else. The location of the hostel is good, but there are no large supermarkets or markets nearby. The rooftop view is really good, but you can't use the shared kitchen.
