Loved our stay at Casi Casa. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond when we had an issue with our room. The rooftop is the real standout, with amazing views of Antigua and the volcano, and we ate breakfast up there every morning.

The pool, chill-out areas, and overall design make it feel more like a boutique hotel than a hostel.

A couple of things to be aware of: the dorms are comfortable but quite dark with little natural light, and if you're booking a private room, try to request the ensuite with a window as the other private room feels quite enclosed. The location is also slightly outside the centre, around a 10–15 minute walk to the main square.

Overall, a fantastic stay and somewhere I'd happily return to.

I booked a private room for me and my two friends, we just got done hiking Acatenango and the two were staying in Antigua for the night while my flight out was later that evening. So while they were to stay overnight, I just needed a place to shower and was going to leave my suitcase in their room for a couple hours. The man at the front desk told me that since I was considered a “visitor” I wasn’t allowed in their room, I couldn’t shower, and I could only put my luggage in there if my friends “let me” and told me to wait in the hall. All this after he just watched me pay for their booking. I paid for a private room, so I don’t understand why this rule. Felt totally unnecessary. I ended up having to buy a shared room to be able to stay. No where on their website does it say guests aren’t welcome. I really looked forward to seeing this place after seeing it on TikTok, but I will never book here again or refer anyone else. Disappointed and feel like it was a money grab.

Very peaceful hostel. Gorgeous, and places to lounge by the pool. The included breakfast was good. Very clean. A bit of a walk to the center of town, but I felt safe on the walk!

Staff was great! Housekeeping goes into the room daily to clean and remake beds. 3 free breakfast options, all were so yummy! Had complimentary tea and coffee in the mornings (tea was great, coffee was very watered down and not good). Common areas were always clean and tidy! Multiple water refill stations, nice pool, many longer areas, and sitting areas on the rooftop. Highly recommend!

As a solo female traveller, Casi Casa felt safe and comfortable during my stay. The hostel was clean and kept, had friendly informative staff, and comfortable sleeping quarters. I stayed in the 6bed female dorm, 2 pillows was amazing! The hostel has a pool, great rooftop terrace, breakfast, and cute patio garden.

Location 3/5 as it was at least a 10min walk with one lane (crowded falling apart sidewalk) to the outside of the main town. Nonetheless you could say the distance was better for noise reduction! Make sure you visit the delicious Bakery and Pizzeria (3m walk away)

The only negative thing to say is my specific bathroom was quite dated, and not sloped properly so water would accumulate quickly. I stayed for one night which did the job.
