Experience thrilling whitewater rafting on the scenic Coyolate River. Half-day adventure near Antigua supporting river conservation efforts. In coordination with RIOS Guatemala, we offer the only whitewater rafting experience available in the Antigua area. Enjoy an exciting day of class II and III+ rapids on the beautiful Coyolate River.

What to Expect:

Departure from Old Town Outfitters Shop in Antigua at 6:00 AM.

A 1.5-hour drive to the staging area by private transport from Antigua.

Option to buy breakfast or bring your own at the river base.

Safety information is provided before entering the river.

Rafting on the beautiful Coyolate River with class II and III+ rapids.

A river trip of approximately 13.7 miles (22 kilometers) lasting about 5½ hours.

Enjoying drinks and snacks during the river adventure.

Wrapping up the experience with a delicious lunch at base camp.

Access to showers and changing facilities at base camp.

Return to Antigua in the late afternoon.

Supporting efforts to protect and preserve Guatemala’s rivers.

Our goal is that through adventure whitewater sports we create an opportunity for locals to benefit from the rivers in their backyard. Additionally, we work to incentivize the care and protection of Guatemala’s rivers.
