Kombu Ramen Shop

Kombu, 3rd Calle Oriente No. 19 D Antigua, Guatemala 03001

This is the first Ramen Shop in Guatemala and the first one using Japanese techniques with Guatemalan ingredients. Kombu brought the techniques and flavor profile from various trips to Japan. Kombu sources the best organic produce available in the surrounding markets. They make their own noodles with NON-GMO wheat and organic chicken stock and local ingredients.

“One of the best Ramen I’ve ever tasted!  I ordered the vegan curry, WOW! Delicious and abundant. The salad as a starter surprised me a lot. Super nice presentation, not many ingredients but simplicity adds to the experience when you delight in the combination! Good job!The ingredients are natural, organic and of quality. It shows in the flavors.Exceptional service, friendly and very fast! (The chef very kindly explained to me the ramen techniques and his search to achieve a quality flavor)” -Matias González

“Having been to Japan before I can confirm that the ramen here is very similar to what you’d find in a shop over there. The interior of the restaurant is amazing. It really makes you feel as you’re in Tokyo, from all the bright signs they have to the JR train sign they have. Overall highly recommend, I always visit Kombu when I’m in Antigua. I recommend getting the pork Gyoza and the Kara-age. Also make sure to be there when they open so you can sit inside with all the cool signs! ” -Slayer
