The food was solid and honestly good value for money. I just have high when I eat Japanese food so take this review with a pinch of salt.
The service was really good and they gave me a free miso soup which was lovely.
I ordered a shrimp tempura roll which was ok but had way too much rice, the individual pieces were way too big and I found it really strange that I wasn’t served wasabi with my roll.
I also order chicken teriyaki. It was decent but the chicken wasn’t cooked perfectly and I thought the skin was too soggy and could’ve been crispier. Also the chicken was sliced up very poorly which made it extremely difficult to eat with chopsticks. The teriyaki sauce was also a bit too sweet.
This is just me being extremely critical but I do honestly think that this restaurant offers good value for money and it’s worth bearing in mind that you realistically won’t get the highest quality Japanese food in a small Guatemalan city.
