We visited Patsy shortly after arriving in Antigua. We walked there from our hotel and were quite hungry, as it was one of the restaurants recommended to us.
The menu is very extensive, which makes it a good option if you're dining with family or a group — there’s something for everyone. They offer both typical Guatemalan dishes and more commercial options.
We ordered pepián and two other traditional dishes that were recommended to us. While the food was not bad, the flavors felt somewhat commercial and milder than expected. We were hoping for something more authentic and bold in taste. It’s not disappointing, but it didn’t stand out either.
Service was fair but slow. It took a while for us to be attended, and it also took quite some time to receive the check. That said, the staff was polite.
The restaurant has a beautiful terrace with a lovely volcano view, which definitely adds to the overall experience and atmosphere. That was probably the highlight for us.
They also have a large dessert selection (though we didn’t try any). I ordered a green juice, which tasted more commercial than natural.
Overall, it’s a good option for variety and location, especially if you want a nice terrace setting. Just manage expectations if you’re looking for deeply authentic flavors.
