“I stayed in a luxury private room with a view of the volcanoes across the lake. It was absolutely lovely. My only complaint might be that the room keys are a little bulky, but that also means you are less inclined to loose them. Santa Cruz is the perfect location for being on the lake. I found the Iguana to be the perfect mix of social and fun, but also allows room for solo travelers to find some quite time too. I stayed five days and had family dinner every night. The food is outstanding. I found breakfast to also be a great value. The docks are busy, so you’ll hear noise from that, but to me that is part of the fun of being on the lake. The only thing to be aware of is that wifi is only available in the common area, not in the rooms or restaurant. If you go to bed early (like I do), you might hear noise from the restaurant and bar, but it wasn’t loud enough to prevent me from drifting to sleep. I am so happy I stayed here.
