This isn’t the kind of place where you will find too many tourists. Dona Luisa is a Guatemalan spot. This place is affordable, comfortable and allows for a breath of fresh air from the overwhelmingly touristy spots. This is a meeting point for Guatemalan families & Spanish students that look for good food, good coffee and cake in an affordable, colonial and cozy atmosphere.
Guest Reviews:
“Our group of 10 arrived for breakfast with no reservations. We were promptly seated in a beautiful setting and received excellent service. We enjoyed traditional eggs and beans, fruit bowls, granola, yogurt, cappuccinos and fresh squeezed orange juice. It was conveniently located near the Central park.” -Debbie SALAZAR
“It is a beautiful place, if you are interested in colonial history and you visit the ruins of the cathedral where the remains of Doña Luisa Xicohtencátl are found, you have to go to this cafe and see the house where she lived. Prices are affordable and there is a wide variety of food. I only had coffee and banana bread, delicious. You definitely have to visit it.” -Monsserrat Portillo
