If you’re walking through Antigua on 4a Calle and the delightful aroma of freshly baked bread and cakes fills your senses, you may have just stumbled upon Doña Luisa’s, with their bakery in the front and restaurant/cafe in the back courtyard and upstairs. Serving Guatemala since 1978, here you will find a wide variety of breakfast options and sandwiches at budget prices, especially for how beautiful their restaurant is.
“Our group of 10 arrived for breakfast with no reservations. We were promptly seated in a beautiful setting and received excellent service. We enjoyed traditional eggs and beans, fruit bowls, granola, yogurt, cappuccinos and fresh squeezed orange juice. It was conveniently located near the Central park.” -Debbie SALAZAR
“It is a beautiful place, if you are interested in colonial history and you visit the ruins of the cathedral where the remains of Doña Luisa Xicohtencátl are found, you have to go to this cafe and see the house where she lived. Prices are affordable and there is a wide variety of food. I only had coffee and banana bread, delicious. You definitely have to visit it.” -Monsserrat Portillo
