“Snug is a cute Irish bar located right next to the Tanque La Union and the Convent of Santa Clara. It consists of a downstairs indoor bar/restaurant area, a small patio, and a really nice rooftop terrace with a small bar. The staff speaks English, so Anglos should not have a stressful time ordering their pint of Guinness or Smithwick’s. The Snug offers a full menu of mostly pub grub which includes my favorite: the scotch egg, which I found pretty damn good. Prices are a bit on the high side but nothing out of the ordinary in Antigua. But considering that you get to order in English, sit on a terrace, and gaze upon the ruins of an ancient convent while sipping your beverage of choice the prices are actually really reasonable” -Robert Chomicz

“honestly, fantastic! My general stance is that I didn’t come to Guatemala to go to an Irish pub, but this place is awesome. the rooftop is great, the vibe was so welcoming and fun both nights I was there, and the beers are very reasonably priced! Highly recommend” -Gina Perkins
