There was a ton of screaming at night. the staff didn't do anything to stop it.

Overall, this is not a terrible hotel. Most of the staff were genuinely kind and helpful during my stay, and the location was convenient for exploring Antigua. However, there were a few issues that really affected my experience.

The rooms are VERY small, and the hotel can be quite noisy depending on where your room is located. If you’re a light sleeper, definitely bring earplugs or headphones.

The biggest issue was how stains on towels were handled after returning from an overnight Acatenango volcano hike. I spent almost 20 minutes going back and forth with a staff member over stains that came directly from the hike, and there was discussion about potentially charging me for them. If you plan on doing volcano hikes or outdoor excursions while staying here, be aware of this policy. You may want to bring your own towel, expect possible stain charges, or consider staying somewhere more accommodating to hikers. I stayed at Socialtel during another part of my trip and did not experience this issue there.

I also noticed the hotel seems very concerned about protecting furniture and surfaces from oils/stains. If that’s the case, I would strongly recommend that the hotel provide protective coverings, trays, towels, or mats for guests to place toiletries and skincare products on rather than placing all responsibility on travelers.

Again, this wasn’t an awful stay, and most staff interactions were positive. But between the noise, tiny rooms, and stress surrounding normal post-hike towel stains, I probably would not stay here again.

Everything was amazing — the location, atmosphere, rooftop breakfast, staff, peaceful surroundings, and how close it was to everything we needed. Waking up to the mountain views from the rooftop each morning was unforgettable. The entire place had such a peaceful and uplifting energy.

And a special thank you to our shuttle driver, Jakeline, who was absolutely the best and made our experience even better.

The hotel is very stylish and I really liked the decor. Everything is nicely done, the rooftop terrace is beautiful, and the breakfast is very good.

That said, there were several things that made the stay disappointing for me. The main one was the lack of flexibility with check-in. The rooms were already ready, but I still was not allowed to check in early and had to wait until the official time. I understand that early check-in is a courtesy and not a right, but it still felt unnecessarily rigid.

I also did not like that all the rooms face the interior corridor. Because of that, you can hear people talking at night until quite late, and since the corridor light stays on, the room remains quite bright even with the curtain closed.

On top of that, I did not find the room very clean, and there was mold in the sink, which was not acceptable.

Overall, while I appreciated the style of the hotel and some of its amenities, I would not stay there again.
