Hotel Meson del Valle

Quiet, clean and comfortable. Delicious breakfast options. Love to relax the corner of the garden courtyard. Staff is welcoming and helpful. Some of group came down with a bug and the staff brought hot tea and extra water bottles to their rooms.

I recently stayed at the Hotel Meson del Valle & enjoyed my stay in part, due to its central location, comfortable accommodations & charming environment. However, it was the friendly staff & Kathy from reception, who made my stay so wonderful!
Kathy in particular, was welcoming, pleasant & helpful from the start! The room was ready & so she allowed me to check-in earlier without any hassles, kept my luggage stored for a few hours after I checked out & gave me good restaurant recommendations. She even helped me with my Uber reservation with the driver who only communicated in Spanish.
As for the hotel itself: I found the colonial style decor with hanging plants very appealing. My room was spacious & comfortable. I had an armoire for my clothes & a desk which I made use of. The only problem with the room, was that I could hear my neighbour at times. That said, my over-all experience was very positive & I would absolutely recommend staying here!

Great little colonial style hotel. Very helpful staff who allowed us to store our luggage while we did the volcano hike. After the hike we had booked a room with a spa bath which worked perfectly and was just what we needed to sooth our tired muscles!

A very charming, quiet, and comfortable small hotel in the heart of Antigua. The staff were exceptional and extremely helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
