Hotel Casa Rustica by AHS

The room we had was small, clean, and had everything we needed. I'm a bit over the top with cleanliness, so I was a bit geeked when the staff changed the shower curtain 3x during our stay.
It's the little things!😄
Also, the staff are friendly, and happy to assist you. At this hotel you get many common areas to sit and relax, and a communal kitchen. The best part is the location, you can easily walk to every restaurant, the park, massages martial arts studio, tienda, and more!
The dogs can be a little annoying when it comes to food, but they are so cute and friendly, so I didn't mind.
They also can do small money exchanges, and even book the activities you are interested in.

We loved the location and the fact we could park our motorcycles securely inside. There was hot water and wifi, and a kitchen with fridge and filtered water. USD$40 for 2 people/private bathroom.
However, if you want to reserve a room, make sure you communicate very clearly and confirm that you have a reservation. We arranged to return for a second stay a week after our first. When we arrived, they didn't have a room for us. We were told it was because we didn't leave a deposit, but no deposit was requested. So, we had to go find another place to stay, as this place was full.

Not worth the money. They charged 30€ extra taxes that were not included in the shown price. It looks way nicer on the pictures than it actually is. The rooms and the kitchen look like your granny would live there. Beds are small but comfortable, but we had cockroaches in our room. Atmosphere is off, the pool table is right in front of reception which makes it feel weird to be there.
Terrace is nice but the rest of the hostel is kinda dark.
Staff is also very nice. Another thing off putting is the ‚not permitted’ signs everywhere tho, it makes you feel unwelcome.
Very underwhelming, would not recommend if you‘re young and want a nice vibe.

Great hotel that is part of the ahs chain giving you access to a two for one breakfast next to los arcos and a pool and spa at la casa del parque. The pool and spa comes at a five dollar fee but well worth it after hiking acatenango, fuego and or pacaya. Pet friendly as well as human friendly

Hotel is situate in the center of Antigua and close to all the major attractions. There are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby including Ta'Cool Taco for lunch or Cafe Boheme for breakfast. Rooms were clean, spacious and the two rooftop terraces provide beautiful views of the volcanoes. For those with a vehicle, parking is available off-site for an additional charge.
