We weren’t sure on this hotel but stayed here and ended up was pleased with service and stuff members. Yes no AC but floor fan did worked some (wish it has ceiling fan) but had very cleaned room. Or if you need some additional service they have ensured by next day. CASA always had someone onsite to help, yes it was little too quiet some days (due to limited people staying) however they offered or ensured those people whom staying. We even brought late night dessert and they offered tea/coffee for just us two. If you want to stay in very quiet location of town with nice service this might be it. May not have Bar or restaurant, yet there are plenty of nearby with money you have saved.

We loved staying here! Casa Santa Rosa is full of charm, especially from the outside. It’s one of those beautiful old houses turned into a boutique hotel, with a super cozy vibe and a gorgeous interior courtyard that really makes the place feel special. The ambiance is what sets it apart—peaceful, pretty, and very “Antigua.”

Now, full honesty: the room itself was just okay. It felt very old and didn’t have a lot of comfortable storage space. What little there was looked kind of dusty and musty, so we didn’t really use it. Definitely not what we’d call “comfortable” by American standards. But! The bed was surprisingly comfy, and the pillows were nice.

Funny thing—there’s no AC, but you don’t need it (at least if you’re coming end of March or early April like we did). It was cool at night, even during the day. They do provide fans just in case.

Now, about that huge Jacuzzi tub—yeah, not usable. It was broken, the water took forever to fill up, stayed cold, and we couldn’t even drain it. Basically a cold plunge that overstayed its welcome. But honestly, we were mostly out and about, so it wasn’t a dealbreaker.

If you’re looking for something super comfortable or plan to hang out in your room a lot, this might not be your spot. But if you just want a charming, safe place to sleep and enjoy the vibes of Antigua, this place is great.

Also, shoutout to the staff—they were super kind. We had to leave early one day and breakfast usually starts at 8 AM, but they were happy to accommodate us and serve it earlier. Plus, they lock the front doors around 9 PM, so it feels extra safe. You just knock and they let you in.

All in all, it was a lovely stay. Highly recommend if you’re here for the experience, not luxury.

This is a great place to stay on what IMO is the prettiest tree lined street in Antigua. It is close to the arch and other tourist attractions. The staff are nice, v helpful and attentive.

Please book this hotel! The standouts were the hospitality and customer service. They learned and used my name, asked if I needed directions, and he gave me a map when I asked where to find an ATM. I was traveling alone for this part of my stay and felt very safe here. The street was well lit and the main door had a bell after a certain hour. People can't just walk in off the street like some of the other places.

The grounds are serene, bright, and airy. I found the location to be a good mix of central and quiet. You don't step out into the bustling parts and need to walk some but Antigua is tiny so I didn't mind.

My room was spacious and clean. Bathroom is also large and well kept. Two people can easily use at the same time
