I had my nails done here on March 29. I just took this photo on April 25. I have NEVER IN MY LIFE had gel polish last this long. Typing, dishes, repotting house plants… I’m not gentle on my hands or nails. My NYC standard gel manicures last for a 10-12 days max before they start cracking, catching, or peeling.
The woman who did my mani/pedi was meticulous. It was about 3 hours total, which was a longer time than I expected (but did include a 10 min wait and removing a small amount of gel from my big toes). Maybe there is correlation between how long it takes and how long it lasts? She paid attention to the details - my edges and cuticles looked perfect! I should have taken a fresh photo was I was rushing when I left.
I didn’t have an appointment and they were able to accommodate me; however, the shop is small and I would advise making one.
I speak some Spanish and understand fairly well, so there wasn’t a huge language barrier for commands (e.g. switch hands in the uv) and miming always works as a last resort.
I am so in awe of how well done my nails were and how long they’ve lasted, it almost feels worth it to fly back to Guatemala just to have my nails done! Keep up the good work.
