Madrugar – to wake up early

Present: Yo madrugo todos los días para hacer ejercicio. – I wake up early every day to exercise.

Past: Ayer madrugué para estudiar antes del examen. – Yesterday I woke up early to study before the exam.

Future: Mañana madrugaré para aprovechar el día. – Tomorrow I will wake up early to make the most of the day.

 

Maldecir – to curse

Present: Ella maldice cuando se enoja. – She curses when she gets angry.

Past: Él maldijo cuando rompió su teléfono. – He cursed when he broke his phone.

Future: Si no me ayudas, maldeciré toda la situación. – If you don’t help me, I will curse the whole situation.

 

Mantener – to maintain, to keep

Present: Nosotros mantenemos la calma en momentos difíciles. – We maintain calm in difficult moments.

Past: Ellos mantuvieron la paz durante años. – They maintained peace for years.

Future: Mantendré mi promesa. – I will keep my promise.

 

Mover – to move

Present: Tú mueves la silla para que pueda pasar. – You move the chair so I can pass.

Future: Nosotros moveremos los muebles mañana. – We will move the furniture tomorrow.

 

Matar – to kill

Future: Ellos matarán a todos los enemigos en la batalla. – They will kill all the enemies in the battle.

 

Medir – to measure

Morir – to die

Mirar – to look, to watch

Mendigar – to beg

Molestar – to bother, to annoy

Mentir – to lie

Mudarse (to move, to move house)
