¿Cuánto cuesta el kilo de manzanas? – How much does a kilo of apples cost?

¿Tienen pan integral? – Do you have whole wheat bread?

¿Está en oferta? – Is it on sale?

Lesson 3: Bargaining in Markets

Negotiation Vocabulary:

¿Cuánto cuesta? – How much does it cost?

Está muy caro. – It’s too expensive.

¿Me da un descuento? – Can you give me a discount?

¿Me lo deja más barato? – Can you make it cheaper for me?

Voy a llevarlo. – I’m going to buy it.

¿Me puede bajar el precio? – Can you lower the price?

Useful Phrases for Bargaining:

¿Cuánto cuesta si compro dos? – How much is it if I buy two?

Es demasiado caro para mí. – It’s too expensive for me.

Si me lo da más barato, lo compro. – If you make it cheaper, I’ll buy it.

¿Este precio es fijo? – Is this price fixed?

At the Cash Register:

¿Cuánto es? – How much is it?

¿Puedo pagar con tarjeta de crédito? – Can I pay with a credit card?

¿Aceptan efectivo? – Do you accept cash?

¿Me da una bolsa? – Can you give me a bag?

Common Responses at the Register:

El total es [cantidad]. – The total is [amount].

Gracias por su compra. – Thank you for your purchase.

Aquí tiene su recibo. – Here’s your receipt.

El pago ha sido aceptado. – The payment has been accepted.
