I just had a delicious lunch at Picnik. I had the cheese and beef sandwich and cafe frio. You can add fries for only Q10. I highly recommend the fresh food and great service.

A little hole in the wall that’s easy to miss! Bread was soft and fresh, meat was tender and well-seasoned, and fries were hot and crispy. Prices were very affordable, too.

I ordered the pork panini with fries, priced at just 38 quetzales, and it was absolutely worth it. The panini was packed with flavor tender pork balanced by crisp bread while the fries were golden and satisfying. A small dish of salsa picante accompanied the meal, adding a fiery kick that elevated each bite. What stood out most, though, was the people behind the food: the independent woman owner, who also happens to be the chef, greeted me with genuine kindness, while her son managed the front end with efficiency and charm. This combination of delicious food, fair pricing, and heartfelt hospitality makes Picnik Guatemala a spot I’d recommend to anyone exploring Antigua. It’s not just a meal, it’s a glimpse into the dedication of a family bringing their passion to the table.
