As a Korean guy, I personally look for authenticity whenever I visit a Korean restaurant, and Masil truly lived up to its reputation. I stopped by Antigua last Saturday and paid a vist and I was overall pleasantly surprised. Though it’s not a very spacious place, the interior design shows how much thought and care the owner put into creating a warm, homelike Korean atmosphere.
I tried the kimchi jjigae and haemul pajeon (seafood & vegetable pancake), and both were excellent. To complement the food, I ordered baekseju and soju to make oshipseju, which paired perfectly.
The service was just as impressive—both the waitress and the owner were extremely kind and attentive, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
Strongly recommended if you love authentic Korean food and are visiting Antigua!
