Fridas is a great meeting point right past the Arch of Santa Catalina. A tribute to urban and authentic Mexican cuisine. The widest variety of mezcal brands in Guatemala and a safe place where everyone is welcome.
It started 27 years ago in a garage space in front of the local supermarket in Antigua, La Bodegona. It had 3 people on staff and 2 tables. Today in 2022 they have 90 employees and 4 restaurants.
“We discovered the site by chance. From the outside it looks very good!We went in to try and didn’t love it.Very attentive but not annoying staff. They helped us with the selection of food and drinks. They put spicy sauces beforehand that are very tasty. We ordered cochinita pibill tacos and gobernador tacos. Excellent taste and presentation. Dim light and candle light. Local very well decorated on two floors. I recommend going through the place. It is very central to the Antigua Handicrafts market. Incredible!!” -Kati Guerra
“Excellent place with Mexican culture and a very interesting gastronomy in its dishes. The place is spacious, clean, the service is good and the food is very good. The prices are accessible medium high, but it is worth it. The coconut shrimp tacos are great as are the tuna tacos.” -Beth Rguez
