I wasn't convinced about Crema Rosa the first time I walked by and heard the music blasting, but have grown to really enjoy the space and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the coffee.
The first time I went in, I was told it was "American Style" coffee shop. Being an American myself and never having seen anything like Crema Rosa in the States ever, I was a little taken aback but found the concept interesting nonetheless.
The whole café is sensory saturation, but not in a bad way. You get the taste with coffee, sound with the audiophile system and R&B vibes, the visuals with the vibrant colors, the seats are comfortable and there are textures everywhere--even the walls.
It all comes together *really* well for an experience that isn't really American per se; it's just unique and uniquely enjoyable.
If you're in Antigua and want a unique experience you won't get anywhere else, you have to come to Crema Rosa.
Note--prices are higher than most other cafes in Antigua (posted in USD) but the whole point of the café is the experience. It's worth it and still good value compared to US prices (no flipping the screen around so the machine can "ask you a question").
