I recently scheduled an appointment at Amaya Salon for a much-needed haircut and color and treatment after about seven weeks of travel, and I’m so glad I did. My hair is very thick, coarse, and has a bit of a natural curl, which makes it especially challenging to cut and layer properly. It takes real skill to shape it in a way that allows it to fall and dry naturally without requiring constant styling. On top of that, all the lake water and shower water during my travels had left my hair looking quite brassy and uneven.
Estephania absolutely nailed my haircut. This is easily one of the best haircuts I’ve had in decades. The way she worked with my hair’s texture and weight was impressive, and the final result looks great even without any effort on my part.
On top of that, she went above and beyond—there was a nearby student demonstration that made getting around difficult, and she was kind enough to drop me off at my next location. That level of care and consideration really stood out.
Logan took the time to really understand what I needed for my color-she even did a consultation with me the day before to make sure we were aligned on the approach. That level of care and attention already set her apart.
The results were outstanding. She created a beautiful, seamless blend from my roots into my existing color, completely toning out the brassiness and bringing everything into a soft, natural ash blonde. Not only did the color look amazing, but she also conditioned my hair in a way that left it feeling noticeably smoother and healthier, which is no small feat with my hair type.
I’ll definitely be coming back—they have earned my trust completely and will be the only people I go to from now on. I’m incredibly thankful I found them.
